It is Friday morning. I have Fridays off and tend to relax on this day (its just me at home, Mr. T is off at work). Also, its freakin' cold (for California) which makes getting out and being active sound like not a lot of fun.
I have been having trouble getting full the last few days. I find that happens when I switch from a carb heavy method of eating where I eat sugar and rice and nothing is off limits to eating only protein and veggies. I find its better to focus on eating the correct foods than limiting my intake for these first few days.

What has happened up until this point...
It is January 4th and I have made some resolutions that I am going to use this blog to keep. This project is to track the changes that are taking place both emotionally and physically as I shed my excess weight and with it other baggage I am carrying around.
My goals are shallow ones. I want to wear beautiful clothing. I want to feel sexy naked. I want men to watch my ass as I walk by. I want my boyfriend to be jealous when other men look at me, and I want to know I could make him jealous at any time. Not because I want to make him jealous, but just to know I could if I wanted to.
Here are the cold hard facts:
I weigh around 220. I'm not quite sure of the exact weight due to a crappy scale purchased at Target which gives different weights every time I step on it and then I stepped on a scale at a Weight Watchers meeting in November which said I was 224, 10 pounds heavier than the scale at home. I will attend another Weight Watcher's meeting this weekend (to use their scale) and when I have their weight I will post it and use that as the most current weight and work from their.
I am 5'2" which is pretty tiny if I wasn't hauling around an extra 100 lbs. Apparently my height to weight ratio should be between 100lbs. and 144 lbs, with a target of 125 lbs. I don't remember when I weighed so little.
I am fairly sedentary. Since January 1st I have started riding my bike to work (about 2 miles each way = 4 miles a day 4 days a week) and starting January 11th I will be taking both Lap Swimming and Aquatic Aerobics at Laney Community College here in Oakland. That will be 4 hours of swimming a week in addition to the 16 miles of bike riding a week.
I will be combining this exercise with a low carb/high protein diet. I know low carb is out of favor with trendy dieters, but not only does my body prefer the higher protein method, but my Holistic Chiropractor/Boss has said this is the method of eating most suited for my metabolic type (more on this in a later post).
The plan is to post my progress, photos, plans, tricks, recipes, failures, success's and so on everyday until I have reached my goal. Since I am at work now I don't have a photo to post, but I will have one when I get home and post it then. I have yet to decided if I should bare all and take my photo naked (gah!!!) or clothed. Let's see how brave I am later today.
From this point on we are making a Little Tart.
